Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme was a thankful freebie, so I decided to list ways my reading life has changed for the better.

I read more and more diversely! Having a blog gives me the incentive I need to prioritize reading as well as the mental space I want to engage more critically (so that my reviews will be more coherent than just omg books). Blogging has also made me more aware of the content I’m consuming and encouraged me to read more than just white guy literary fiction.
I get to read books early through NetGalley and Edelweiss! Do I read arcs as soon as I’d like? No, but I want to make that a priority in 2020.
I’ve found so many interesting and creative fellow book bloggers! Like, so many, y’all. I love reading blogs so much and treating myself to book content is often exactly what I need to wind down.
And bookstagrammers! I joined bookstagram at the beginning of 2019 and half the fun is allowing myself to troll through used book stores for content and the other half is seeing all of these amazing feeds. Some of y’all make me super jealous, okay?
And tweeters! My twitter feed used to be a verified dumpster fire, but when I started to slowly weed out politics and news and prioritize comedy and books, it’s never been better.
Yeah, unfollowing political tweeters has been a game changer for me. I can read news articles for myself. I don’t need to see a bunch of randos arguing about stuff. My book blogger friends are a lot more interesting!

I’m working slowly to read my ARCs and egalleys earlier, but it doesn’t always work. I have to stop asking for books or signing up for tours. Great post!

I love what you said about treating yourself to bookish content. That’s the perfect way to put it! I feel the same.
Happy TTT!
